Who am I? I am sitting here staring at a nearly blank screen sipping some coffee pondering just how to answer this question. I have the basic facts of course . My name is Joanie and I am a 36 years of age. I am a native of upstate New York living in the great commonwealth of Kentucky. I am as good as married . I have no children. I am presently in the process of transitioning from a career in healthcare to a career in the sales world. My hair is red at the moment and my eyes are blue. I love chocolate and My husband per son. I love music and the rain and the moon and about a dozen other things people might consider to be cliche.
So the the page is no longer blank but I really want to avoid boring you with mundane details. I think the best way to tell you who I am is not going to be in listing a bunch of random facts about myself, but just to ask you to get to know me as I write and share the nitty gritty details of myself and my thoughts with you here in this blog.
Why am I here? On earth? That is a great question! Maybe a little to introspective for this particular moment. Who knows ? It might be worth exploring later? So why am I writing this blog? In real life I have like you have many observations in any particular day. Some complex and sometimes comedic ideas. I am not sure I have ever had the proper venue in which I could share my voice. That doesn't mean I have held back or ever learned to bite my tongue. Really what it does mean is that I am ready to create a space of my own where I can think/speak out loud, hence the title "Joanie's Voice".
No I am not crazy , and no I do not typically refer to myself in the third person. Not unless of course I am lacking coffee or sleep . In those instances I can not deny that I have fallen into a fugue like state and probably referred to myself as it. It wants sleep!!! It wants coffee!!!
Okay so the next question..Why do you want to hear what I have to say ? Why is my voice so unique that it should stand out among the masses of word bringers that are just yammering for your attention? What do I have to say that is so important? The fact is that only you can answer that for yourself. Far be it for me to put words in anyone else's mouth. What I will say if if you'er still here reading this you might as well soldier on. Stick around , grab some coffee and settle in. Do make use of the lovely comments section ..Share your thoughts, your voice in return. Lets build a dialogue together! You are already in so you might as well stay....
P.s. These images are how I would set the scene if we were face to face and having coffee and this conversation face to face. Ambiance is everything when it comes to sharing ones voice. Yes the message is material , but the setting ... The scene plays important role too.
